  • I have 10 years of experience working with the Deaf/Hard of Hearing populations. Whether utilizing hearing aids, cochlear implants, or no amplification, American Sign Language can support the development of receptive/expressive language. This may be for children also working to use aural/oral skills as well.

  • Children who demonstrate echolalia, or gestalt language processing benefit from a specific therapy approach. Many autistic children are gestalt language processors. This helps children turn scripting into self generated language in a neurodiversity-affirming way. Officially an NLA trained clinician through the Meaningful Speech program.

  • Children with difficulty coordinating the motor movement and sequencing of speech. These children can benefit from specific motor based therapy techniques, such as DTTC.

  • Children that are having difficulty being understood due to specific sound errors or patterns of sound errors.

  • Children may demonstrate difficulty understanding (receptive language) or expressing (expressive language). This can relate to wants/needs, following directions, vocabulary, and grammar.
